Cultural and original Bali

Prana Veda Bali is located on the beachfront on the north coast of Bali. In this traditional village time stands still. Pure traditional Balinese living can still be explored.

The Balinese staff at Prana Veda, sharing their radiant smiles with the guests, invite us to gain insights into their Hindu culture.

Ceremony

In the morning you can join the fishermen for a boat trip to watch the sunrise and dolphins and afterwards take  a walk on the beach, collect shells and watch the fishermen’s children playing. Sometimes you can hear the Balinese instruments and chants accompanying a ceremony or a cremation and you can watch as the offerings and the ashes are scattered in the ocean.

Boattrip with the fisherman

Bondalem, the local village with 8 main temples and several thousand inhabitants, is a perfect opportunity to get to know and explore the traditional Bali – to immerse yourself in the spiritual heart of the island of the gods.

In Bali, religion is life and life is religion. Religious rituals and festivals accompany people’s lives from birth to death and even after death. They are the foundations of the community within both the family and the village.

Ceremonies

From 5 until 8 in the morning there is a traditional market, where you can buy all kinds of fruit and vegetables, which we don’t grow in our own garden. The fisherman also sell their catch fresh fish from the sea.

Prana Veda Bali invites you to join us for different Retreat Weeks.

Take time to reflect and enjoy the silence and tranquillity at the Centre, a magical place to find peace and obtain insights into yourself and a traditional local Balinese village.
